An overhalfmoon describes a betta fish that has a caudal (tail) fin with a 180-degree or greater spread, exceeding the perfect “D” shape of a standard halfmoon, often with a unique pattern or slightly irregular shape. It’s a term used to categorize ornamental bettas bred for their impressive, often oversized, tail fins that don’t quite form a perfect, smooth half-moon shape but still show a very wide, large, and dramatic fin display.
